An overview of the Alchemical Universe gameplay mechanics.

Section 1

Overview

Alchemical Universe is a strategy and collectible card game set in a fictional world that echoes our own map, but with its own unique regions, an aesthetic of alchemy and green geopolitics, and an internal economy. The player embodies an Alchemist on a mission to spread botanical alchemy until all regions adopt this new paradigm.

Progression Titles

  • Senior Alchemist of the Healing Ring: Awarded after completing a large part of the medicinal conquest (CCC-M).
  • High Alchemist of the Planetary Council: Awarded after completing the green conquest (CCC-V) and mastering the map.
  • Supreme Alchemist of the Planetary Circle: Requires fulfilling extra leadership requirements and special missions.

Section 2

The Alchemical World Map

The planet is divided into Macro-Regions, each containing several Regions (fictional countries). Each Region can be in one of three states, which evolve based on the collective "Influence" of their citizens:

  • Blocked: Does not yet accept botanical alchemy. No official trade or cultivation. Evolves by reaching an influence threshold.
  • Medicinal Conquered (CCC-M): Adopts botanical alchemy for medicinal purposes. Regulated trade and production are enabled. Evolves by reaching a higher influence threshold.
  • Green Conquered (CCC-V): Also adopts the healthy recreational/green dimension, representing a complete cultural and economic transition. This is the maximum state of evolution.

Section 3

Internal Economy: Gas María & Gas María Elite

3.1 Gas María (GM) - Utility Token

The game's consumable utility token, generated by planting 'Crop' cards in 'Territory' cards you own. It is used to perform strategic actions, such as voting in regional elections, and will be used in the future to redeem products or activate special cards. It is burned upon use.

3.2 Gas María Elite (GMᴱ) - Status Token

A non-consumable status token that represents your reputation and influence, similar to loyalty points. You gain GMᴱ by participating in the ecosystem (e.g., generating or spending GM). The more you participate, the greater your influence becomes.

Section 4

Card Types and Functions

  • Crops / Genetics: The economic engine. You must plant them in a 'Territory' card you own to produce Gas María.
  • Territory / Region: Essential for the economy. They act as "land" where you can plant your crops. Without a territory, your crops cannot produce.
  • Alchemists: Strategic cards with unique abilities. You can assign them to your territories to receive bonuses, such as increased GM production or extra influence points for governance.
  • Governance Cards (Counselor, President): These cards provide significant influence points when staked, increasing your voting power in your region's politics.
  • Temporals (Boosters) & Specials: Cards with powerful temporary or global effects, planned for future expansions.

Section 5

Power and Governance Roles

  • Citizens: By joining a region, you become a citizen with the right to vote. Voting costs Gas María, making it a strategic decision.
  • Councilors: To be a Councilor, you must nominate yourself and be elected by the citizens of your region. Councilors manage regional resources and elect the President.
  • President: Elected by and from among the Councilors. They represent the region in the World Council and can appoint Ministers.
  • World Council: Composed of all regional Presidents, this body votes on global proposals, such as forming alliances between regions.

Section 6

Game Cycle

  1. Acquire Cards: Get 'Territory', 'Crop', and 'Alchemist' cards from the marketplace to build your strategy.
  2. Plant & Assign: Go to "My Crops" to plant your 'Crops' in your 'Territories'. Assign an 'Alchemist' to a Territory to activate its special bonuses.
  3. Generate and Accumulate Gas: Your planted crops automatically generate Gas María (GM) over time. This generation is continuous, calculated at a base rate of **0.01 GM per minute per card**. Claim it periodically using the "Claim GM" button to add it to your balance.
  4. Harvest vs Claim: 'Claiming' collects your generated GM. **'Harvesting'** (Unstake) removes your Crop card from the territory, stopping its production and returning it to your wallet so you can sell it or move it.
  5. Participate in Governance: Use your cards in "Governance Staking" to gain Influence. Use your GM to vote in regional elections.
  6. Conquer and Evolve Regions: Your influence contributes to your region's evolution. Work with other players to help your region reach the "Green Conquered" state.
  7. Climb the Political Ladder: Nominate yourself for the Council, get elected, and maybe even become President to participate in the World Council.
